Kaup ("Kaup," "we," "us") operates a social bartering platform that lets people post Wants and Offerings, place bids, and arrange trades. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

• Account information — name, email, city, and profile details you provide.
• Listings & bids — the Wants, Offerings, photos, and bids you post.
• Messages — the contents of trade threads unlocked by a winning bid.
• Usage data — device, log, and interaction data needed to run and secure the service.

3. How we use it

We use your information to operate the marketplace, match Wants to Offerings, calculate reputation, power AI safety scoring on trade threads, prevent fraud and abuse, and communicate with you about your account and waitlist status.

4. AI safety processing

To keep trades safe, message content in unlocked trade threads is analyzed by an automated safety system that flags pressure, scams, and attempts to move a trade off-platform. Anonymized trade data may be retained to improve safety only where both parties have opted in; you can change this consent in your profile at any time.

5. Sharing

We share information with service providers who host, store, and process data on our behalf (for example, cloud hosting and image storage), and where required by law. We do not sell your personal information.

6. Your choices

You can access, update, or delete your account information, and request deletion of your data. You control your safety-data consent and your marketing communication preferences.

7. Data retention & security

We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, and use reasonable safeguards to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
